Their son was born October 2, 2021. Brooks was his middle initial. This name was in honor Briggs Cunningham III, who was an ARCA Champion. Chase often shares photos of Brooks in his social media posts. Marissa Briscoe was a mother to Chase's first child, but she lost the pregnancy. Briscoe almost was shot by a driver-by shooter in the same year.

Briscoe made 37 starts in 410 sprint cars in 2008, posting 17 top-10 finishes and breaking Jeff Gordon's track record for most wins in a single season. Briscoe switched to stock cars in 2013, but he raced dirt events such as the Chili Bowl Nationals and the Tulsa Shootout.


Briscoe's early-season schedule includes three Late Model races at the Brownstown Speedway, Indiana, Charlotte Speedway, May 11-12, and Tri-City Speedway, June. He will also compete at the BC39 USAC midget race in Indianapolis.

The 25-year old racer from Mitchell in Indiana is currently vying for the 2020 Xfinity Series Championship. He has nine wins and this is his second straight appearance in the postseason. Briscoe was fifth in the Xfinity Series standings in 2018, and missed the opportunity to move on to Championship 4. He did however win the rookie-of-the-year award.

Briscoe was a part of a limited Xfinity Series race schedule in 2018, but he went on to full-time drive for SHR in 2019. He will be making his NASCAR Cup Series debut at this year's 63rd Daytona 500.

Has a working relationship with crew chief Matt Klausmeier

Kurt Busch's good working relationship is well-known. They were a powerful duo, finishing 17 Top 10 places last year. Klausmeier then switched over to run Clint Bowyer's team in 2020. Although the team didn't win as many races last year, Busch was still able to run a successful year with Klausmeier.
